I hate suicide — we here in North Idaho had another tragic suicide this week. There are so many who are struggling with a world gone crazy right now.
When struggling with anxiety and depression, so few understand that we are dealing with a spiritual enemy who convinces you that something is so wrong that it cannot be remedied. People are actually convinced that they are doing people a favor to just die. The devil whispers you will be judged if you share what is going on in your head, or that people will think you are weak. The devil is and always has been a liar..
Jesus really can help, and if you share what is going on in your life with a good friend they would often help. If you reach out to God and His people (not everyone who claims to be His is) you can find help for your struggle. A good counselor can really help you and it is ok to go to one – I have mine on speed dial.
Again so few understand that we are spiritual beings inside of a body suit and what matters most is our soul. They don’t understand that eternity is real and that there really is a devil who wants to kill you and those you love through your actions.
The devil again says you are actually doing your loved ones a favor because you die and this is so untrue. I have been there to see what happens with the ones these people love after they give into a lie like that.
Please Please Please; If you are feeling this struggle right now, talk to someone about it. If they tell you to get medical help – please listen.
Some ask why God would cause this —He didn’t –He allows people to choose and always has. Some would say why would God allow it –the answer, in short, is that God offers a relationship to the world but the world has to choose it.

The Wounded Spirit
If you’ve ever been there, you’ve never forgotten. The feeling is as haunting and familiar as the smell of a junior high school locker room.
It’s the feeling of being undersized … or oversized … or klutzy … or less than beautiful. Of being a nerd … or a geek … or just, somehow, different. Most of all, it’s a call for bullies and victims alike (many of us are both) to seek the healing and forgiveness offered in Jesus Christ. For that healing is really the heart of this book-the only reality that can break the natural cycle of victimization and abuse.
Only in Christ, Peretti reminds, is there hope for the wounded spirits-but that hope is
powerful enough to change everything
