Here are some thoughts I shared with my congregation on where I think our mindset should be at all times as disciples of Jesus, but especially when we go in to place our vote in a political election.
1: Christians have a responsibility to vote.
2: What kind of people should we be?
3: Vote from a Biblical Worldview.
4: Be discerning about the news you hear.
Remember that there will be things you disagree with from both political platforms – you need to measure the platform as a whole from a Biblical Worldview. Are the things you disagree with on a moral level, which would be addressed in the Bible, or are they a difference of opinion or ideology? There are moral issues that the Bible speaks quite clearly about that we should not overlook when deciding what platform to give our support to.
