God created us for relationships. He created us to have friendships and be a part of a church body. Unfortunately, that is easier said than done in the extremely hectic society most of us live in. But like God said, it really is ‘not good’ for us to be alone. Larry Crabbe, a preeminent Christian Counselor, says that 95% of the people who go to counseling today could have been helped by simply talking to a good friend.
If God created us for relationships, shouldn’t we order our lives in such a way that we make space for them? It isn’t easy, relationships take work. But maybe we need to rebuild the framework of our lives so we can have the thing that God intended for us to have.
